Christie Modlin is a member of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, where she serves on the Business Committee as Tribal Secretary. She also currently serves as the Alternate Area Vice President for the Southern Plains Region with NCAI and as a Gaming Commissioner for the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. She has extensive experience in gaming, tribal affairs, and Tribal Leadership.

This past year, in 2024, Christie started the MMIP Chapter for the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma. Christie strives to maintain her culture and is a member of the NAC, Native American Church Chapter for the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma. She also participates in various pow-wows across Indian Country.

"My passion is for my people and all of Indian Country. My roles in leadership provide me the ability and opportunity to advocate for our people and to make a difference on issues facing Indian Country," says Modlin. "Being a voice and serving on the NIWRC Board gives me another avenue to advocate and work for the betterment of our people."
