Resources for Media

Elevating the voices of Native women and grassroots advocates.

The National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center (NIWRC) is committed to amplifying the voices of Native women and grassroots advocates who are leading the charge to end violence in Tribal communities. As part of this commitment, we offer culturally-grounded resources and educational tools to support media partners and journalists in their coverage of critical issues facing Native communities.

We believe the media is an essential ally in helping elevate accurate Native narratives and shining a light on the systemic challenges Native women face. By sharing these stories, we can foster a deeper understanding of the issues and promote community-driven solutions to end violence. We work closely with journalists to ensure that coverage is respectful, informed, and reflects Tribal sovereignty.

Together, we can create a more informed, compassionate dialogue around violence against Native women, advocating for justice and lasting change. We encourage media professionals to explore the resources below and reach out to our team for further support.
