Consultation
FYSB FVPSA Government-to-Government Consultation
The FVPSA (Family Violence Prevention and Services Act) Government-to-Government Consultation is a two-day virtual meeting to build meaningful relationships with federally recognized tribes receiving FVPSA funding by engaging in open, continuous, and meaningful consultation. The FVPSA Program is inviting Tribal leaders to provide verbal and written testimony on the allocation of FVPSA grant awards for Tribes. The FVPSA Program will also invite Tribal leaders to give verbal and written testimony on establishing a minimum grant award of $55,000 for each Tribe that applies for FVPSA funding. Establishing a higher minimum base award for each Tribe that applies for FVPSA funding is needed to help smaller Tribes meet the needs of 40,000 women, men, and children, at minimum, seeking their services each year.
Please click here to complete a brief survey by September 7, indicating that you would like to provide a verbal and/or written testimony so we can better anticipate the number of speakers and organize the list of speakers by the correct speaking order. Please note that if you have written testimony, you may use that as your verbal testimony during the tribal consultation.
